LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Wendy's Misfits Animal Rescue provided free surgeries, vaccines and other care Saturday to about 100 East Texans at a Lufkin parking lot.

For many people, vet care for their pets can be one of the first expenses to go as inflation rises.

DeHart Veterinary, which normally offers low-cost care, performed the procedures.
