TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Tyler Mayor Stuart Hene participated in the annual stair-climbing event at the UT Tyler Herington Patriot Center, held in remembrance of the sacrifices made during 9/11.

The event is held to remember the lives lost and recognize the courage and sacrifice made by first responders on the day of the attack on the World Trade Center."It's important to me to stand next to our community servants who are out there on the front lines, sacrificing themselves, their family time for the betterment of our community, our first responders, police department, fire department, EMS personnel, and then our military personnel to let them know that we care about them, that we have not forgotten about them, and that we will always remember what happened 25 years ago," Hene said.
