The Universal City Police Department revealed new details Tuesday on what led up to the arrest of a 68-year-old man in connection with a cold case murder.
In a news conference, police said Kelly Lee Brower Sr. confessed to the 1981 murder of Yolanda Herrera, 23.
UCPD Lt. Stephen Rios told reporters DNA evidence was collected from the fingernail scrapings and a bodily fluid sample from Herrera's autopsy.
