Texas Department of Transportation officials will be in town Nov. 10 to provide an update for the Texas 46 West safety project.

Precinct 1 Commissioner Jennifer McCall Tuesday told her Kendall County Commissioners Court colleagues about the 6:30 p.m. session at the Patrick Heath Public Library, 451 N. Main St. The county and the state highway department are partners in efforts to improve the problem-plagued roadway.

McCall Oct. 13 also summarized a timeline that led to the court's designation of $100,000 to support improvements planned for Webster's Corner - the site of some of the state highway's most severe crashes - including "Jersey barriers," crash cushions, pavement widening and guard fence work at that curve.
