The GEO Group has begun advertising dozens of job openings for its planned immigration detention operations in Big Spring, including detention officers, administrative staff, medical professionals, and facility administrators.

Some advertised salaries exceed $170,000 annually.

The job postings follow the Big Spring City Council's recent approval of a 10-year agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) involving the Cedar Hill and Flightline detention facilities.
