BIG SPRING, Texas - A Big Spring man accused in the May shooting deaths of two people is now formally facing a capital murder charge in Howard County district court, with recent court records showing an attorney has been appointed to represent him.
Ruben Anthony Gonzales Jr., 22, is charged with capital murder of multiple persons in connection with the May 22 deaths of 44-year-old Willis J. Duval and 23-year-old Marcus D. Pena.
Big Spring police and Howard County sheriff's deputies responded to the 1600 block of Oriole Street at approximately 11:05 p.m. on May 22 following a report of shots fired.
