CHINA SPRING, Texas (KWTX) - China Spring ISD Superintendent Dr. Marc Faulkner announced Monday that he will retire at the close of the 2026-27 school year, capping a 30-year career in Texas public education, according to a China Spring ISD release.

Faulkner revealed his decision during the regularly scheduled Sept. 21 board meeting, marking the final stretch of a 14-and-a-half-year run as the district's superintendent.

His education career began in 1997 as an agricultural science teacher in Marlin before moving into campus administration at Robinson High School.
