The Brownwood High tennis team's four-match win streak was halted with a 14-5 setback in non-district action at Class 5A Abilene Cooper Tuesday.

Collecting wins for the Lions and Lady Lions were No. 2 girls single Gigi Rodriguez (6-3, 6-4 over A Garza)- her sixth win in a row - No. 3 boys single Ian Cervantes (3-6, 6-4, 11-9 over J Pickle), No. 5 boys single Parker Dennison (6-1, 7-5 over J Garcia), No. 6 boys single Duncan Dennison (6-4, 7-6 [5] over A Canon), and the No. 3 boys doubles team of Duncan and Parker Dennison (4-6, 6-1, 10-6 over Quintanilla and Cano) - their fifth straight win.

The Lady Lions and Lions (4-6, 4-1) resume District 6-4A action Oct. 1 against Peaster in Glen Rose, seeking a fifth straight league triumph.
