The Admiral Nimitz Foundation has acquired the property at 241 E. Austin St. in Fredericksburg, creating the future home of a new education center for the National Museum of the Pacific War.
Located just steps from the museum campus, the former Sage Restaurant and Lounge will be transformed into a dedicated learning facility for learners of all ages, designed to expand the museum's educational capacity and strengthen connections between classroom programming and the museum experience.
"Fleet Admiral Nimitz asked that the museum honor everyone who served in the Pacific," said Dr. Rorie Cartier, president and CEO of the Admiral Nimitz Foundation.
