BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - At least three Texas school districts have banned energy drinks and high-caffeine products from campuses over the past two weeks, following the death of a 17-year-old cheerleader last year.

Larissa Nicole Rodriguez died from what officials say was an enlarged heart stressed by large amounts of caffeine - a case that has renewed debate over student access to the popular drinks.

Neurologist Dr. Jeremy Liff says caffeine is the primary danger.
