ROMA, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than $9 million worth of methamphetamine hidden in a shipment of laundry detergent at a South Texas port of entry, officials announced on Friday.
What we know: The seizure happened on Aug. 11 at the Roma International Bridge, which connects Roma, Texas with a city in Mexico.
According to CBP, an officer referred a 2012 tractor-trailer that was hauling laundry detergent for additional inspection.
