DENISON, Texas (KXII) - Early voting for the midterm elections began this week, and state lawmakers visited Denison to hear from voters and county leaders.

State Rep. Shelley Luther, who is up for re-election, and state Sen. Brent Hagenbuch attended the event."I think it's part of our job as legislatures to come and talk to the local community," Hagenbuch said.

"We took some questions, a lot of good questions and good interaction.""When we're going into the legislative session, that we have their very last thoughts in our head about what they're wanting us to do," Luther said.
