WHITESBORO, Texas (KXII) - The City of Whitesboro has responded after Pentex Energy filed a case with the Public Utility Commission of Texas over electric service to new Whitesboro ISD facilities.

City Manger Phil Harris said the dispute started more than a year ago after he reviewed plans for the district's new early childhood center and AG building.

Harris said he suggested letting the district decide who should provide electric service to the new facilities."Pentex felt like that was their building because they had the majority. and whereas I said why don't we let the school district choose," Harris said.
