Although Aug. 18 was the first day of school for most, it's Oct. 6 that Crestmont Christian Preparatory School staff, students and parents have circled on their calendars.

Originally constructed as Boerne's first schoolhouse, the old City Hall building at 402 E. Blanco Road will once again echo with youthful voices filling the hallways, classrooms and playground as the site of the preparatory school, said Amanda Howell, Crestmont director of operations.

"We are hoping to have students (in the building) on Oct. 6," Howell said.
