By News Staff on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 Citizens for Change-a nonpartisan community organization serving McCulloch, Kimble, Mason, Menard, and surrounding counties-will sponsor a debate between Representative Wes Virdell and candidate Kathryn Hartmann, who are running for Texas House Representative in District 53.

The debate will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the McCulloch County Library.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The debate will be livestreamed from KNEL so voters across the district can tune in.
