President Donald Trump said he will cease trading with every country the U.S. has a trade deficit with if the Federal Reserve does not cut interest rates.

Trump made the threat on Truth Social Friday following a jobs report that most economists believe will encourage the Federal Reserve to increase interest rates in an effort to curb inflation.

The U.S. added 162,000 jobs in August, doubling most economists' expectations.
