MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Organizers of Cowboy Summer Camp at the Bush Family Home State Historic Site have announced they will no longer use blank-firing firearms during Wild West reenactments scheduled for Thursday.

The change comes after organizers who initially planned to include demonstrations featuring blank-firing guns as part of performances by the Ole West Gunfighters.

In an update, event organizers said the program has been adjusted and no blank-firing weapons will be used during the reenactments."We appreciate their decision to adjust the program," officials said in a statement.
