LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - The Gregg County Commissioner Court has approved several funding requests from the East Texas Regional Airport, including change orders for the beacon and jet bridge.

Tovar said the new jet bridge could be up and running in the next few days.

"They're operating and going through the cycling of it. They'll get with American Airlines, check their limits on the aircraft, what their limits are for the aircraft, program those into the jet bridge. And then we should get it back, hopefully today, if not tomorrow, and then start our training on it for another 2 or 3 days," Tovar said.
