HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man is dead and another is injured after shots were fired amid an argument between middle school students in southwest Houston on Monday evening, according to the Houston Police Department.

According to HPD, officers were called to the shooting scene on 11900 Oakmoor Parkway at 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found one man deceased and another man inside with a graze wound, police said.

HPD said there was an initial fight between middle school students who attended a KIPP school.
