HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Following his highly anticipated return to the gridiron, Mayor John Whitmire officially declared Oct. 28 "Tank" Dell Day in Houston.

On Wednesday, Whitmire announced the proclamation honoring the Texans wide receiver and former Houston Cougar.

Dell returned to the field for the first time in the Texans' overtime loss vs. the New York Giants on Sunday, after his catastrophic injury in Week 16 of the 2024 season against the Kansas City Chiefs.
