TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Tyler Animal Shelter is waiving adoption fees for dogs and cats throughout August for residents who donate $50 worth of select items.

Accepted donations include G or PG rated movies, word search books, coloring books, colored pencils, and Sharpies.

Donated items will be given to residents of Breckenridge Village, a residential community for adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
