With seven seniors lost to graduation from the 2026 squad, the Brownwood Lady Lions will be counting on several new faces to lead the program in head coach Kristen Grimes' second year as head coach.

Practice begins Monday, with the only scrimmages of the year on Friday, Aug. 7 at San Angelo prior to the first match on Tuesday, Aug. 11 when Early visits Warren Gym.

Despite limited time to get ready for the initial outing of the season, summer work has allowed Grimes to gain a better understanding of the roster that will suit up in 2026. "We've been really focused this summer on our ball control, that's going to be our staple," Grimes said.
