AUSTIN, Texas (KLTV) - Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller (R) called for the immediate resignation of Republican Party of Texas Chair D'Rinda Randall following Tuesday's election.

In a Texas Department of Agriculture news release, Miller criticized party leadership after Republicans lost every statewide race on the ballot, control of the Texas House of Representatives and their majority on the State Board of Education, according to the release."Let's quit pretending this was just another election," Miller said.

"This was a political catastrophe."Miller said Randall's statement after the election did not accept responsibility for the party's losses.
