Lakeside Golf Club was once a peaceful oasis for golfers to enjoy the game and a view of Canyon Lake, and residents living adjacent to the course benefitted from their proximity both as players and spectators.

But the property now lies abandoned, grass has grown out of control, and neighbors say they have health and safety concerns for themselves and the environment.

The 19-hole, more than 100-acre course sits lakeside, full of trees, water and sand obstacles, a club house and even a pool.
