RUSK, Texas (KLTV) - The Cherokee Civic Theatre will kick off its new season this weekend with a unique, Disney-themed fundraiser designed for families looking to escape the summer heat.

The "Sip and See" event features a single performance of the musical showcase "When Love Was Magic." Unlike past fundraisers that served alcohol, this production is completely alcohol-free, offering kid-friendly treats like lemonade, a candy bar and a custom popcorn bar.

Sarah Langston, the show's director and a theater board member, said the showcase brings classic and modern Disney characters like Cinderella, Moana and those from "Frozen" to life.
