Bryan City Council sets tax rate and budget for upcoming fiscal year

The City of Bryan approved a tax rate of $0.624 per $100 of home value for the 2026-27 fiscal year, maintaining the same rate as the previous year while homeowners will see approximately $30 annual increases due to rising home values.

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The City of Bryan voted to approve the upcoming fiscal year's tax rate at $0. 624 per $100 of value on a home, the same as the previous fiscal year.

The average home value went up roughly $5,000, going from $306,495 in 2025-2026 to $311,402 in 2026-27.

Meaning that with the tax rate, bills will still go up around $30 a year.
