HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An 11-year-old boy was hospitalized after getting hit in a car crash on Thursday evening in west Houston, according to DPS.

Authorities said that incident happened on SH 6 near Branch Forest.

DPS officials said that a trooper conducted a traffic stop when a driver drove his vehicle and hit the boy.
