The unexpected announcement of a possible Walmart Supercenter coming to a development on the northwest side of Seguin had the city council pause discussion on the development's general land use plan.

During a regular meeting Tuesday, James McKnight, of Ortiz McKnight, let slip that Walmart has its eye set on a 34-acre tract of land within the Greenspoint Village project slated for development on State Highway 46 North just south of the Greenspoint Heights subdivision.
