Sara DeLuna, who most recently served as assistant principal at Lamar Elementary, has been named as Veramendi Elementary's new principal.

She brings 14 years of leadership experience to the role.

Having served in her previous role since 2023, she played a key role in improving student outcomes, supporting teachers and leading significant campus traditions, according to a New Braunfels Independent School District media release.
