WOODWAY, Texas (KWTX) - Woodway Mayor Amine Qourzal made public his decision of not pursuing Flock cameras Thursday evening."As a city, we are always evaluating new technologies that create a brighter future for Woodway, but not at the cost of the core values and privacy of our citizens," Qourzal said in his statement.

Qourzal said the city's leadership and public safety officials have evaluated options of public surveillance, including License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology, more commonly know as Flock cameras.

However, after "careful consideration" and weighing community feedback, they decided to not pursue Flock cameras at this time.
