Last week, the Texas Education Agency released the 2026 A-F accountability ratings, showing that both the New Braunfels Independent School District and the Comal Independent School District maintained their B ratings.

Each year, the Texas Education Agency assigns letter grades to districts and each of their campuses ranging from A to F. The ratings are based on three domains, including student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps.

Comal ISD CISD's overall accountability score increased to 88 for 2026, compared to 87 in 2025.
