Monday's meeting of the Kerr County Commissioners' Court saw the acceptance of the resignation of Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace-elect Don Harris and the unanimous appointment of Sylvia Foraker as the new JP, who will be sworn in Jan. 1.

Harris announced two weeks ago that he would resign and asked the court to replace him.

He will continue to serve as Precinct 4 commissioner until Dec. 31.
