Brother of former Braves pitcher killed in motorcycle crash with dump truck, police say

Matt Kimbrel, a former Braves minor league pitcher and brother of ex-Atlanta closer Craig Kimbrel, was killed in a motorcycle crash with a dump truck on U.S. Highway 431 in Huntsville, Texas.

(WAFF/Gray News) - Matt Kimbrel, a former Braves minor league pitcher and the brother of ex-Atlanta closer Craig Kimbrel, was killed Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash in Huntsville.

Like his major-league sibling, he also pitched in the Braves organization with the minor league team.

Huntsville police said Kimbrel was speeding north on U.S. Highway 431 when a dump truck started turning onto Cove Commons Drive.
