HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman is dead after a shooting in northeast Harris County, according to the sheriff's office.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed the shooting happened in the 11100 block of Maritime Drive on Saturday afternoon.

A person was detained at the scene, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
