Not only was Thursday's sweep of MacArthur by the Boerne Champion volleyball team the first UIL playoff win for every player on the team but it was also the first-ever postseason victory for Kelly McDaniel as a head coach.

Champion swept the Lady Brahmas last Thursday at Alamo Convocation Center, 25-13, 25-15, 25-14, to mark the program's first playoff victory since 2019.

The Chargers (32-7) advanced to the second round to play Medina Valley (30-12) on Tuesday at Northside Sports Gym.
