District Attorney Micheal Murray reported that recently a Brown County jury convicted Joseph Dean Williamson of the Murder of Taylor Hart after a short deliberation.

On Friday, October 16, 2026, Judge Mike Smith sentenced Williamson to 55 years in prison.

District Attorney Micheal Murray presented evidence during the trial that on December 27, 2023, Williamson shot Taylor Hart in the chest with a 40-caliber handgun.
