GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - Law enforcement presence will be increased at the I-20 and State Highway 31 intersection during a TxDOT construction project.

This project consists of clearing the right of way, removing the left exits from I-20 and replacing them with right exits with a direct connector over I-20.

The work will affect northbound and southbound SH 31. New bridges will also be built over SH 31 and the railroad on I-20. Two lanes will remain open throughout the project limits on I-20 and SH 31. The contractor will have occasional nighttime lane closures to perform work.
