On Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Hill Country Youth Event Center, the veterans' support organization Gunny's Warriors held a ceremony celebrating day two of Kerrville Flags of Honor.

The day's theme featured selected speakers discussing their heroes and how they can come from unexpected places.

While the first day featured speaker Bill Groneman, the second featured Kerrville Mayor Joe Herring Jr., retired Kerrville Police Department Lt. Mary Krebs, and City Manager Dalton Rice.
