BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas - A Pearland City Council member is requesting Brazoria County officials to be more transparent about the pesticides used during mosquito control operations, following a 2 Helps You report about the deaths of millions of bees in the county this summer.

Layni Cade traveled to the Brazoria County Commissioners Court in Angleton on Tuesday to request that the county publicly disclose the pesticides being used in its mosquito spraying operations.

The request comes after 2 Helps You previously reported on concerns from a local beekeeper who said mosquito spraying operations have contributed to the deaths of millions of bees in Brazoria County.
