A new section of East WilCo Highway has opened, giving the Hutto area another connection to Texas130 as road construction keeps pace with growth in East Williamson County, officials said.

Area leaders and community members held a ribbon cutting Thursday morning for Segment 2, which stretches from CR 137 to CR 404 and connects with Chandler Road in Hutto.

"Williamson County continues to see immense growth, especially here in Precinct 4," County Judge Steve Snell said.
