BULLARD, Texas (KLTV) - Dozens of fallen East Texas service members are expected to be honored during the annual Bells of East Texas ceremony at 11 a.m. Sunday at the American Freedom Museum, located at The Brook Hill School in Bullard."This ceremony is our promise to Gold Star and surviving families that their loved ones' sacrifices are never forgotten," said Karl Little, support coordinator for TX Survivor Outreach Services.

"The tolling of the bell offers our community a meaningful moment to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the families left behind and ensure our heroes are forever remembered."Held in conjunction with Bells Across America, a nationwide initiative started by the United States Navy Gold Star Program, the upcoming ceremony will honor 30 local service members killed while serving in the military, according to a press release.

Each fallen service member's name will be read aloud, followed by the tolling of a ceremonial bell in their absence, a military tradition rooted in centuries of naval history.
