On Sept. 23, students from several local schools and surrounding communities gathered at Peeler Ranch for the Wintergarden Fall Career Development Event (CDE) Invitational.

Hosted with the support of Barbara Peeler and Peeler Ranches, the event gave students an opportunity to test their knowledge and skills in plant identification, land judging, homesite evaluation and range evaluation.

Local chapters Tilden FFA, Pleasanton FFA, Poteet FFA and Jourdanton FFA were among those competing, with students from each chapter bringing home awards from the invitational.
