NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - A dog that spent 77 days at the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter went to a new home Saturday more than 2,000 miles away in Walla Walla, Washington.

The dog, named Bluebelle, was at risk of being put down before a family from Washington state adopted her.

Shelter staff drove her 34 hours to get her there.
