LACY LAKEVIEW, Texas (KWTX) - A 36-year-old registered sex offender faces a felony child grooming charge after police say he engaged in inappropriate contact and communications with a 15-year-old girl.

Billie Wayne Thomas Cochran, 36, has been charged with child grooming, a third-degree felony, according to an arrest warrant obtained by KWTX.

According to the affidavit filed by Lacy Lakeview Police Detective Tyler Ziegler, the girl's parents contacted police on Aug. 7 to report inappropriate contact between Cochran and their teenage daughter.
