KILGORE, Texas (KLTV) - A new sports program is coming to Kilgore College (KC).

The college announced it had officially added cheerleading to its intercollegiate athletic programs as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) sport beginning in the 2026-27 academic year.

KC plans to introduce its new cheerleaders and Head Coach Shawn Mosley at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McLaurin Administration Building on campus."We are excited to welcome Coach Mosley to Kilgore College and have her lead this new chapter for KC Cheer," Courtney Pruitt, the college's athletic director, said in a statement.
