(KGNS) - A Laredo woman is headed to federal prison after trying to smuggle a toddler into the United States, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of Texas.

Anahi Rosas tried to use her own child's Texas birth certificate to pass off a 3-year-old boy as her son, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
