MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - A work crew repairing a sewage line near the intersection of Big Spring and Scharbauer found partial remains of a baby inside the line Friday afternoon.

The Midland Police Department said the developmental stage of the baby is undetermined but is believed to be well short of viability.

The origin of the baby and whether a criminal act contributed to the incident are undetermined, Midland officials said.
