LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Lubbock Area United Way's "Good Works Gathering" is looking to make an impact on the South Plains in a big way."Glenda Mathis of YWCA came up with the great idea of what if we got everybody together in one space and provided resources for the community, especially as school is getting back in," United Way president Amanda McAfee said.

The event will put 22 agencies under one roof at the YWCA of Lubbock from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 22nd to let residents explore what programs lubbock has to offer.
