A man was detained after allegedly stabbing another man who was trying to break up a fight on the South Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Officers responded to the stabbing just before midnight Saturday in the 6100 block of Padre Drive.

Police said a 28-year-old man was asked to leave the location after a verbal altercation with others gathered there.
