Lubbock nonprofit offers car seat safety classes, free seats for families in need

The Parenting Cottage in Lubbock offers free car seat safety classes and seats for families in need to help parents comply with Texas child safety requirements.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Texas requires any child younger than 8 years old and shorter than four feet nine inches to ride in a properly installed car seat or booster seat.

The Parenting Cottage, located near 50th and Memphis, is helping parents meet that requirement.

Safety classes offered twice monthlyDianne Milford is project manager at that location.
